About The Contest
The Northern Miner invites international students to take part in an exciting new contest designed to spark curiosity about the global gold industry. Each month, participants complete a short quiz that tests general knowledge about gold, mining, and its role in the world. Every quiz you finish earns you one entry for a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Vancouver for the CIM Event from May 3–6. From all entries, 20 qualifying students will be selected to submit a short essay exploring a gold-related theme. A panel of experts will then choose the winning essay based on originality, relevance, clarity, and depth of insight.
